The US Senate proposes to recognize Russia as a state that finances terrorism

Democrat Richard Blumenthal and Republican Lindsey Graham co-sponsored the document. The Senate also calls on United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to recognize Russia as a sponsor of terrorism.

“This recognition will be important in American law. There are only four countries that have such recognition: Cuba, Syria, Iran and North Korea. We are trying to include Russia in this list so that it is fifth. This is a company that should be associated with. On the eve of Russia recognized the Lithuanian Seimas as a terrorist state . The resolution was supported by 128 votes in favor. In the resolution, the Seimas stated that the Russian armed forces and their mercenaries are committing mass war crimes in Ukraine, especially in Bucha, Irpen, Borodyanka, Gostomel and Mariupol.
