In addition, one high-ranking fighter and a close associate of the ISIS leader was seriously wounded.

“This operation was carefully planned to ensure its successful execution. Initial analysis shows that there were no civilian casualties,” the statement said.< /p>

The United States Army noted that Maher al-Agal was involved in the development of the Islamic State network outside of Iraq and Syria.
