The representative of the US Ministry of Defense talked about the advancement of the Armed Forces in the south of Ukraine.

The Ministry of Defense of the United States of America confirms that Ukrainian defenders continue to advance on the territory of Kherson Oblast, regaining control over some populated areas of the region. Pentagon Press Secretary Brigadier General Pat Ryder stated this during a briefing, writes CNN.

“What we are observing in the Kherson region first of all is the ongoing offensive operations of the Ukrainians. They continue to move forward to some extent. We know that they have recaptured some villages,” said a representative of the US Ministry of Defense.

At the same time, he reported that the States had also recorded some offensive activity of the Russian Federation. The invaders are trying to advance in the vicinity of Bakhmut.

Despite the fact that the Armed Forces maintain a regime of silence regarding the offensive of the defenders at the front, they recently confirmed that it was possible to return Visokopill in Kherson Oblast to the control of Ukraine. The Ukrainian military also has territorial victories in the eastern direction, where they managed to secure some territory beyond the Siverskyi Donets River.
