The Ukrainian documentary will be shown at the festival in Tel Aviv

The world premiere of “Fragile Memory” will take place in Krakow.

The film “Fragile Memory” directed by Igor Ivanka will be shown at the International Documentary Film Festival in Tel Aviv, which will take place from May 26 to June 5. And in a day its world premiere will take place in Krakow, according to the Ukrainian Film Association.

“Fragile Memory” is the story of the search for memory, personal and cultural, based on the discovery of a damaged photo archive of the famous Ukrainian cinematographer Leonid Burlak, who worked all his life at the Odessa film studio and shot the legendary film “Meeting place can not be changed.”

The shooting of the film coincided with the rapid loss of memory of the protagonist in connection with the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease. The film is the debut work of Leonid Burlak's grandson Igor Ivanko.

It is noted that the film was created “Babylon 13” together with Burlaka films and in co-production with Peter Kerekes. The film was created with the support of the State Film Agency, the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation and the Slovak Audiovisual Fund.

It will be recalled that Ukrainian director Iryna Tsylyk became the first Ukrainian to be a member of the Cannes Film Festival jury . Together with her colleagues, she will determine the best documentary in the Golden Eye section.
