Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, Head of the Sumy Oblast Regional State Administration, said that today at about 07:00 there was an attempt to break through the state border in Sumy region – the occupiers opened fire on the border area of Shostka district with mortars, grenade launchers, machine guns and submachine guns. He wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
“Under cover of fire, enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups tried to enter the region. Border guards gave battle to the Russians, and they retreated beyond the state border,” Zhyvytskyi said.
