The American Institute for the Study of War suggests that Russian forces are using captured nuclear power plants in order to play on the West's fears about a nuclear disaster in Ukraine. This is stated in the latest ISW report based on the results of the past day.

“… in order to undermine the will of the West to provide military support to the Ukrainian counteroffensive, as well as to effectively use the nuclear power plant as a nuclear shield to prevent Ukraine from attacking Russian forces and equipment,” the military analysts said in a statement.
