The presidential adviser named a condition that will change Ukraine's position on the issue of territories

Ukraine is ready to compromise with Russia to end hostilities immediately.

Советник президента назвал условие, которое изменит позицию Украины по вопросу территорий

One of Russia's demands is Ukraine's recognition of the annexation of Crimea and the independence of Donbass. The Ukrainian side did not agree with this point during the month of negotiations. However, in an interview with CNN, Deputy Head of the President's Office Igor Zhovkva called for a compromise that Ukraine can reach.

Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity are the red lines that the government cannot cross. Moreover, Ukraine does not plan to cede any region in favor of Russia, but compromise solutions to the problem are being considered to end the fire.

“The common position is that we do not trade an inch of Ukrainian territory. But yesterday the President of Ukraine acknowledged that in order to immediately stop the war, cease fire and withdraw Russian troops, we are ready to agree to their withdrawal to the positions they held before February 24, “said Igor Zhovko.

The deputy head of the President's Office welcomed US President Biden's statement in Warsaw and expressed doubts that “it” is possible.

“I like President Biden's statement, which was very shocking,” Zhovko said. “But again, don't speculate on whether [Putin] is still in power or not. If Russia became a democracy, he probably wouldn't stay in power. But since Russia is far from a democracy, unfortunately, we are all we have “to witness, probably, some period of time as Putin is in power.”

“This video has already turned out to be a fake,” the deputy assured.

Igor Zhovko stressed that Ukraine is a civilized, legal state that treats prisoners of war in accordance with international law.

“Ukraine will never be such a barbaric country as Russia,” he stressed.
