The energy blackmail of the Russian Federation does not seem to be able to intimidate the citizens of one of the continent's leading states.
Russia's gas blackmail causes significant damage to the economy of Germany, which for decades relied on energy carriers from the Russian Federation. Nevertheless, the majority of residents of Germany are ready to make sacrifices in the event of an increase in heating prices in order to continue to support Ukraine. This is evidenced by the sociological survey of the ZDF TV channel.
According to the source, 70% of Germans will continue to support Ukraine in the war against Russia even if energy prices rise. 21% of respondents are not ready to bear additional costs and are categorically in favor of weakening support for Ukraine in order to lower energy prices.
At the same time, about 40% of Germans call on the West to increase military support for Ukraine. 30% of respondents support providing Ukraine with more weapons. As for those who are in favor of reducing military aid to Ukraine, there are 24% of them among the residents of Germany.
