The former head of Roscosmos has been waiting for his “position” since July.
After Russia held the so-called “referendums” in the federation will create a separate district from the annexed territories, which will most likely be headed by Dmitriy Rogozin, dismissed from the position of head of Roscosmos. The Russian publication “Vedomosti” writes about this with reference to a source in the Federation Council of the Russian Federation and close to the occupying government of Crimea.
“In Russia, a new federal district can be created – the Crimean one, which will include the peninsula itself, as well as the LPR, DNR, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions joined as a result of the referendums,” Russian mass media claim.
< p>According to the newspaper, the former deputy prime minister, ex-head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin, who is close to Putin, may become the authorized representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the newly created district. This information was confirmed to the publication by several sources in the Kremlin.
“The final decision regarding Rogozin will be made in the near future, and it will most likely be positive,” the newspaper writes.
The need to create a new federal district in the Kremlin is justified by the “difficult situation” regarding the so-called “accession referendums.” , and to manage the region “a political heavyweight is needed”.
Another source close to the Putin administration explained Rogozin's appointment as “a big work front”.
Rogozin left the position of head of Roscosmos on July 15. On the same day, Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that his resignation was not related to any complaints about his work, and that Rogozin “will be employed later”.
Rogozin is 58 years old, he was born in Moscow. In the 1990s, he was engaged in business, and in 1992 he became a participant in the Russian campaign in Transnistria. From 2008 to 2011, he was a special representative of the Russian Federation to NATO.
