Mostly Ukrainians go to Poland, Germany and the Czech Republic.
Number of refugees from Ukraine registered for temporary protection in Europe, according to data on September 30, reached 4 million 183.84 thousand. This was reported by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), writes Interfax-Ukraine.
It is noted that the rate of outflow of people from Ukraine decreased.
“In the month from August 30, the increase was 214.3 thousand, while in the previous five weeks – about 260 thousand, five weeks earlier – about 305 thousand, and in total from the end of May – about 1.25 million,” the report says.
According to UNHCR calculations, Poland (almost 56,000), Germany (about 39,000), the Czech Republic (about 15,000), Great Britain, Romania and the Netherlands (about 11,000) showed the greatest increase over the last month, but in in the case of the Netherlands, this is a change in two months.
It is specified that the largest number of refugees with the status of temporary protection are in Poland – 1 million 409.14 thousand, while those who entered the country from Ukraine, according to the data of the Polish border service, from 6.432 million people arrived at the beginning of the war, and 4.466 million left for Ukraine in the opposite direction.
Germany and the Czech Republic follow, where the number of refugees registered for temporary protection from Ukraine amounted to 709.15 thousand and 438.93 thousand, respectively.
Italy, as before, is in fourth place in terms of number registered refugees from Ukraine – 157.61 thousand (increase by 3.6 thousand), and Spain closes the top five – 144.67 thousand (increase by 5.7 thousand).
In general, according to UN data as of September 27, 13.380 million departures from Ukraine were recorded since the beginning of the war, while arrivals (without data from Hungary, the Russian Federation, and Belarus and from February 28) were 6.257 million.

UNHCR notes that by the middle of 2021 there were only 53.47 thousand Ukrainian refugees in the world who requested the appropriate status, of which 36.49 thousand were in Europe.
