Payments to depositors of Sberbank (MR Bank) and Prominvestbank, which were managed by Russia and are being liquidated by the decision of the NBU on February 25, 2022, should begin soon. This was stated by the first deputy head of the National Bank Ekaterina Rozhkova, reports lb.ua.
“They went into liquidation without an interim administration, so it took longer for the Deposit Guarantee Fund to process. There were also restrictions on access to government registries, and it took longer for the liquidators to get the right to sign. But they've figured that out.” and payments to Prominvestbank's depositors should start in the coming days, and depositors of the former Sberbank of Russia will have this opportunity a little later, “she said.
Ekaterina Rozhkova clarified that these are payments for guaranteed amounts up to 200 thousand. UAH
“The rest is a little later, because the Deposit Guarantee Fund must receive funds for the sale through the sale of property, and these issues are complicated today,” the banker added.
