As of March 28, the National Police of Ukraine has already registered more than 330 criminal proceedings for theft committed under martial law. This was announced by the head of the National Police Igor Klimenko in the Telegram.

He asked the citizens to be more humane to the looters, because they will be responsible according to the law.

“Thanks to the caring citizens who are helping the police detain the looters. However, I ask you to be more humane. Yes, these people have committed crimes at this very difficult time for everyone, but they should not be openly mocked and tortured. They will be held accountable under the law, because Ukraine is a state governed by the rule of law, ”Klimenko said.

The head of the National Police also said that during the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, the police received more than 900,000 reports from citizens.

In addition, Klimenko noted that the total number of allegations of criminal and administrative offenses has decreased by more than 2.5 times compared to the same period in 2021. In total, about 13,000 crimes were recorded, 10,000 of which were serious and particularly serious.
