The minister noted that defenders control all bridges in Kherson, so the Russian invaders will not be able to escape from the right bank of the region, as was the case in Kharkiv Oblast – they are trapped.
“I don't really believe that the Russians will be able to fight in the streets. Because it is not the best option for them. We control all the bridges on the Dnipro River using HIMARS and other artillery. And it is risky for them to stay in Kherson, because then they will not be able to escape, as they did in Izyum,” explained Reznikov.
He noted that Russia's war against Ukraine is currently in its third stage.First, the Defense Forces had to stop the occupying army, then stabilize the situation on the battlefield, and now our military will liberate the occupied territories “according to the plan”.
Currently, Russian troops are advancing only near Bakhmut and are making similar attempts at several other points in the Donetsk region.
