A high-ranking representative of military intelligence of Ukraine said on Wednesday, that Russia's military offensive is slowing down due to moral and physical fatigue in its ranks and Moscow's “exhausted” resource base.
Television remarks by the head of the Military Intelligence Service, Kirill Budanov, became one of the strongest signals from Kyiv that, in his opinion, , Russia's offensive power may be weakening.
“Russia has quite seriously reduced the pace of its offensive. The reason for this is the depletion of their resource base, as well as moral and physical fatigue from hostilities,” he said, adding that this is why there were no massive missile attacks on Ukrainian cities on Independence Day, Reuters reports.
Budanov also noted that there are no new threats from Belarus to Ukraine.
“The S-300 system, which is used to launch strikes against ground targets, when it works in this mode, has an effective range of 35 km. If you open the map and look, then, except for the border strip, there is nothing to impress it,” Budanov stressed.
