In order to impose a gas embargo on Russia, it is necessary to convince Germany in the expediency of such a decision. This was stated by the President of the European Parliament Robert Metzol at a conference with climate activists, reports Politico.
Two participants in the conference from Poland asked which leaders to focus on.
“Number one,” Metsola said.
She added: “You need to speak louder with the leaders of governments, your prime ministers.”

Recall that the EU is currently discussing the sixth package of sanctions against Russia with a phased oil embargo on Russia. At the same time, Russia is preparing to reduce oil production and the introduction of the EU “ceiling” of prices.
Earlier it was reported that the European Commission's plan in case of suspension Russian gas supply includes energy savings and a commitment to share resources with each other.
