German Interior Minister Nancy Fezer blames Russian embassy in Berlin in spreading misinformation about Russian aggression in Ukraine, reports DW.

“Some platforms on the Internet create ideal conditions for disinformation and war propaganda campaigns. This is also used by the Russian embassy.” , – on Sunday, May 1, the AFP agency quoted Fezer as saying in an interview with the Handelsblatt newspaper, which will be published on Monday.

The head of the German Interior Ministry warned that appropriate measures could be taken. She recalled that the German government had already sent “40 alleged diplomats, probably linked to Russia's intelligence services,” noting that “other options” were available.

According to Nancy Fezer , Russian propaganda of war should not have any impact on the inner world in our country. She noted that measures against such hybrid threats have already been taken.

For example, the European Union has taken care of the ban on broadcasting by the Russian propaganda channel Russia Today . “We must counter the facts with false narratives, lies and misinformation,” the German Interior Minister said.

Germany sent 40 Russian diplomats in early April. Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock then argued that the Russian embassy in Germany “worked every day against our freedom, against our cohesion.”
