The General Staff pointed out that the reason was the neglect of safety rules and violation of the requirements for the transportation of ammunition.
The day before, explosions occurred in the Russian city of Belgorod in the warehouses of missile and artillery weapons of the Russian Armed Forces. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that the ammunition began to detonate due to neglect of safety rules and violation of the requirements for the transportation of ammunition.
“Yesterday in the Russian city of Belgorod due to neglect of safety rules and violation of the requirements for the transportation of ammunition, their unauthorized detonation occurred. This situation is an example of the typical mass use of obsolete dangerous ammunition by Russian servicemen, including during the Second World War, ”the statement reads.
The General Staff reminded that only yesterday they warned about the threat of self-detonation of N-ammunition, a huge number of which was installed by Russia in the Chernobyl area.
