The G7 plans to provide Ukraine with 30 billion euros in financial support – Spiegel

Ministers of Finance G7 countries want to agree to provide Ukraine with financial support of 30 billion euros during a meeting in Germany next week. This was reported by Spiegel, citing sources involved in the negotiations.

It is noted that the assistance, which is intended to cover the financial needs of Ukraine, will be provided in the form of loans and grants. This means that Ukraine will not have to return the entire amount.

However, according to the publication, there are still disagreements and opponents on this issue. And one European country has not yet agreed to participate in the program.

It is noted that Ukraine has calculated these financial needs by the end of the year. For example, about € 5 billion a month can go to civil servants or retirees.

Earlier it was reported that G7 leaders in a joint statement pledged to hold Russian President Vladimir Putin and accomplices in the war against Ukraine, including Alexander Lukashenko's regime in Belarus, accountable for their actions under international law.
