The fact of the massacre is nowhere to be found – Zelensky

The Ukrainian president gave an interview to the Russian opposition online publication Mediazon.

Relations between Ukraine and Russia will be possible in the future only after admitting guilt and repentance for what is happening in Ukraine – both the leadership of Russia and the Russian people.

This opinion was expressed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with the Russian opposition “Voice of America” reports. To admit it is like going to church, like saying in the spirit, confessing. This is normal. I don't think we decide anymore. God forgive or not forgive – this is not a question for us, “- said Zelensky.

According to the President of Ukraine, only under such conditions of repentance could mutual visits be considered in the future.

He said: “Well, you know how – the goal justifies the means. In the name of our country, I am ready to go anywhere in the world, but not now and not in Moscow. This is simply impossible. But, of course, under other people and under other circumstances, probably anything is possible. But after all that has happened, it will not bring me pleasure. ” He also noted that in 20 years Ukraine will have another president and Russia as well.

In addition, the Ukrainian president expressed the belief that Russia's political leadership had made a “catastrophic mistake” by invading his country and now “the responsibility for this massacre lies with the Russian people.”

“Here they are all the time, Russian politicians, all the time talking about historical steps, about justice, about the fight against” Nazism “, which they just did not say! But the fact of the massacre is nowhere to be found. And it is impossible to forgive, “the Ukrainian leader said.

He noted that now no one in the world will understand which of the Russians has anything to do with the war.

“Now many people in many countries will not ask: are you a good guy or a bad guy. They will simply react like Russians. That's what they did terrible. It's not scary for me, it's scary for this people, I think. Because there were many things in the history of different things, discoveries, culture, artists, scientists – there were many things. After a massacre, people usually don't want to hear it all. They don't want to, I'm sure of it. I think this is the biggest blow [in Russian], “Zelensky said.

The President of Ukraine gave an interview to Mediazone publisher Petro Verzilov and producer Bo Willimon for a documentary on the Russian invasion.

< "Mediazone" published Zelensky's answers to 3 questions, including the question - whether he is ready to come to Moscow in the future and what the world should be like for this to happen. It was about possible relations between Ukraine and Russia in 20 years.
