The European Parliament has called for sanctions against the Russian IT industry

The French MP believes that no Russian can be part of the global IT community as long as the Russian army kills civilians in Ukraine.

Raphael Glucksmann, Member of the European Parliament from France, took the initiative to impose sanctions on the IT industry of the Russian Federation. According to the activist, Russians should not be part of the global IT community at a time when their army is killing civilians in Ukraine. This was reported by Guildhall. Gpluksman stressed that sanctions in the IT sphere will be a powerful signal for every Russian who works in it.

“Sanctions against Russia's IT industry are very important. This is a specific signal for every specialist in this field working in Russia – you will not be able to be inside a regime that does exactly what the German Nazis did in the 20th century and at the same time be part of the global IT industry, share developments and software with others countries. Closing the door to IT services and technology from Russia, the European Union must make it clear that as long as the regime in your country is at war with Ukraine, you cannot be part of the global technology community, “said France's representative to the European Parliament. >
