The deputy accused the government of lying: Ukraine has a surplus of self-produced gas for the needs of the population

Kucherenko offered the head of government to personally explain the legislative initiative of the Cabinet of Ministers, which is more like a “scheme”.

People's deputy Oleksiy Kucherenko declares that there is no shortage of gas in Ukraine, and its own production covers the current needs of the population with a significant surplus. This is stated in Kucherenko's parliamentary address to Prime Minister Denys Shmygal regarding government draft laws No. 7427, 7428, 7429 regarding the specifics of regulating relations on the natural gas market and in the field of heat supply during martial law and subsequent recovery.

“The essence of these draft laws is to provide compensation in the amount of 6 billion US dollars from the state budget to NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” for the purchase of imported gas, which is allegedly insufficient for implementation of PSO (provider of last hope, – ed.) in the next heating season,” the appeal reads.

At the same time, Kucherenko insists that there is no shortage of gas in Ukraine to meet the needs of the population.

“After all, even with a reduction in gas production volumes by 7-8%, available at the disposal of JSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” JSC's own gas resources are more than enough to ensure the significantly reduced needs for the fulfillment of PSO during the next heating season. And instead of a gas shortage, there is actually there is a surplus of own natural gas resources,” the MP notes.

In Kucherenko's opinion, we are talking about a scheme where the entire volume of own gas they are trying to artificially equate production with imported gas. And at the expense of the difference between the internal prices of domestically produced gas and the prices of imported gas at European gas hubs, the amount supposedly intended for the purchase of imported gas should be withdrawn from the State Budget.

In his parliamentary address, Kucherenko emphasizes that the principles of setting prices in the country's energy complex are not clear to him alone. the Verkhovna Rada received many appeals regarding objections to the main provisions of these draft laws concerning the principles of setting prices for natural gas, tariffs for thermal energy, determination of compensation, settlement of restructured debts and their consequences,” the deputy writes.

According to him, such appeals came from the “Association of Cities of Ukraine”, the Kyiv City Military Administration, the Poltava Regional Council, the Inter-industry Association for the Development of Heat Supply Systems “Ukrteploenergo” and others.

In this connection, Kucherenko offered Shmyhal to personally explain this legislative initiative of the government, holding a discussion with the participation of interested parties on the main controversial provisions of the mentioned draft laws.

At the same time, Kucherenko uses more radical wording on his Facebook page, mentioning specific surnames.

“Strange things are happening now in the energy sector of Ukraine. The son of a consistent and ideological “regionalist”, Rostyslav Shurma, one of the leaders of the “Opposition Bloc”, organizes from the office of the president to support the anti-Ukrainian gas scam initiated by the son of a prominent progressive socialist, Yury Vitrenko. Covering it all up in the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Gerus, the person who organized the import of Russian-Belarusian electricity at the first opportunity in 2019. This whole scheme was provided by Valeriy Tarasyuk, who was the chief lawyer of the Russian energy company from Luzhniki for a long time, from the position of the head of the NCRECP (2019-2021). led by Russia's Vice-Speaker Babakov. All this time, gas production in Ukraine has been thwarted by a powerful group of Russians, Belarusians and Kazakhs who are currently working in Russia,” Kucherenko writes.

“In atomic energy, Russian ears (also – ed.) are now sticking out from all sides, starting with the head of Energoatom Kotin. The families of almost all these characters have long been abroad,” he added also him.

Let us remind you that earlier, a member of the public council under the State Agency of Ukraine for the Management of the Exclusion Zone, Olha Kosharna, informed about the detention by counterintelligence of Oleg, the director of personnel of JSC “Energoatom” Boyaryntsev.

According to Kosharnaya, Boyaryntsev did not have time to change all directors of nuclear power plants. The same applies to the deputy directors of physical security.

“But he promoted Murashov to the position at the ZNPP, and his deputy of physical security Prysmitsky met the occupiers on March 4 with the words: I welcome you to the Russian nuclear plant. I hope that O. Boyaryntsev's trial will be quick and according to the laws of wartime,” Kosharna added.
