The cost of gasoline in one of the regions of Ukraine exceeded UAH 70 per liter

The State Food and Consumer Service will demonstratively punish two gas stations. Officials use the concept of “inflated prices”, but do not say anything about their validity.

Specialists of the State Food and Consumer Service of Rivne region found two gas stations that sold gasoline at UAH 71.99 and UAH 62.99 per liter. This was reported by “Public”.

Unscheduled inspections of the retail fuel market in the region began in accordance with the order of the Prime Minister of Ukraine from May 7.

< p style = "text-align: justify;">“We carried out two unscheduled inspections of compliance by business entities in the retail fuel market with the requirements for the formation, establishment and application of state regulated prices. In the first case, it is the former Bereznivsky district, prices – UAH 44.76. Regarding the second inspection – at a gas station in Rivne, where the retail price of A-95 premium was UAH 62.99 with a maximum allowable UAH 39.57, “said Oksana Nemkovych, Deputy Head of the State Food and Consumer Service in the region. means the marginal price set by the Cabinet of Ministers. And do not specify the validity of the price.

We will remind, As you know, almost all fuel in Ukraine today is imported. And in Europe, where Ukraine transports fuel, prices have skyrocketed. During the two months of Russia's war against Ukraine, diesel fuel prices in some European countries have risen by about a quarter, and gasoline prices have risen sharply.

For example, in Sweden and Latvia, fuel prices have risen. at 38 cents, from 1.66 euros to 2.04 euros per liter. The sharpest increase in diesel prices among all EU countries was recorded in Germany – by 47 cents per liter.

At the same time, on May 5, the Ministry of Economy published the average cost of gasoline – UAH 31.19 per liter, diesel fuel – UAH 35.63 per liter, from which the maximum selling price of fuel at gas stations since early May is calculated.

Taking into account the marginal trade margins, the maximum price for regular gasoline for sale through the gas station network should not exceed UAH 37.69 per liter, for conventional diesel fuel – UAH 42.63 per liter. The cost of premium gasoline is not limited if the station also sells “regular” fuel, including A-95, DP. Otherwise, premium fuel brands can be sold only with a 5% surcharge on the price of “ordinary”, ie 39.57 UAH per liter – gasoline and 44.76 UAH per liter – diesel.

However, earlier the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a number of decisions to reduce taxes and excises on fuel , which should reduce the cost of gasoline and diesel fuel in Ukraine. In particular, the Government reduced to zero the excise tax on imports of gasoline, diesel and liquefied gas. In addition, VAT has been reduced from 20% to 7%.
