The Cabinet of Ministers released by the end of 2022 from the lease payments under lease agreements of state and municipal property of natural persons and natural persons-entrepreneurs, called up or accepted for military service after the declaration of martial law. Taras Melnychuk, a representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, announced this on his Telegram channel.
The decision was made at a government meeting on Tuesday, May 17.
Exempted by the end of 2022 from the rent under lease agreements of state and municipal property, valid on February 24, 2022, the following tenants: individuals and private individuals who were called up or accepted for military service after the declaration of martial law; who use property, is located in administrative-territorial units, within which users' access to the unified and state registers, which are held by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, is terminated under martial law, “the Cabinet of Ministers spokesman said.
Also, until September 30, 2022, tenants who use state property were exempted from rent: in the territories of Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv regions and the city of Kyiv; in cultural and educational institutions, if the leased object was leased on an hourly basis.
Until May 30, 2022 exempted from rent tenants who use state property in the Kirovograd, Dnepropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Odessa regions .
Leases of state and municipal property, which expire during martial law, are extended for the entire period of martial law and four months from the date of its termination or cancellation.
As previously reported, if the war in Ukraine lasts more than “three or four months”, the government will have to take painful measures to keep the economy afloat . In particular, it is a significant increase in taxes, a sharp reduction in spending and even nationalization.
