The Belarusian Volunteer Battalion named after Kastus Kalinowski became a member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The video with the swearing-in on March 25 was published in the battalion's Telegram channel.
“On this important day in Belarusian history (the unofficial Belarusian national holiday Freedom Day – Ed.), The oath was taken by volunteers of the battalion of Kastus Kalinowski. Today our battalion is part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The oath was written in Belarusian by our volunteers. We are confident that in the future this text will become the basis for the oath of the real Belarusian army, “the statement reads.
According to the archives of the Kastus Kalinowski Battalion, some of its volunteers have been fighting for Ukraine since the first days of the full-scale war.
