The country supported EU sanctions against Russia.
Switzerland has frozen Russian assets worth about 5.75 billion Swiss francs, or $ 6.17 billion, which includes a number of real estate properties. At the same time, the country continues to work on finding assets and the amount is likely to be higher as a result, according to Reuters.
“With new reports and potential additions to the EU sanctions lists, which Switzerland is also proposing, it is likely that this figure will grow,” said a senior official of the Secretariat of State for Economic Affairs (SECO).
Until now, the SECO has refused to assess the size of assets frozen or potentially subject to sanctions, but then the neutral country supported the application of EU sanctions against Russia for the war in Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine must urgently demand the seizure of frozen assets of Russia, as it may be late.
It will be recalled that the Swiss government has adopted new EU sanctions against Russia.
