Sweden and Finland will apply to join NATO on Wednesday

Sweden and Finland have decided to “go hand in hand throughout the process”.

On Wednesday, May 18, Sweden and Finland Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson made this statement during a joint press conference with Finnish President Sauli Niinistö, Interfax reports.

Earlier it was reported that Finland and Sweden plan to apply for NATO membership in May . Thus, both countries have decided to speed up the accession process without waiting for the Alliance's summit in late June.
