Smallpox will not be the new COVID-19, the expert explained why

Monkeypox will not provoke the same pandemic as the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, at least because the two infections are very different in terms of ways of spreading. This was stated by the Executive Director of the Coalition for Innovation Preparedness (CEPI) Richard Hatchett at the World Economic Forum in Davos. These are the vaccines that protect against smallpox. Both pathogens belong to the same group and are quite close. So these vaccines work. Monkeypox belongs to the same family as smallpox. Its symptoms include tuberculosis, fever, muscle aches and headache. However, such smallpox is less deadly.
