The Minister attributes this to the inability to perform his duties in wartime.
More than 6,000 civil servants have resigned since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This was announced by the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleg Nemchinov on the national telethon.
According to the politician, such a large number of dismissals is due to the fact that civil servants are unable to perform their direct duties due to hostilities in many regions of the country.
” As of now, there are reports that about 6,000 civil servants have been laid off during the martial law. Whether it is a little or a lot, it is difficult to say, as a rule, these are life processes. But in this case we connect these dismissals with military actions, impossibility of performance of the duties », – Nemchinov stated.
The Minister also stressed that many civil servants now work remotely because they do not have access to their offices. He noted that according to statistics from the National Civil Service Agency, in early May there were less than 200,000 active civil servants in Ukraine.
