40 medical institutions were completely destroyed.

Since February 24, the Russian occupiers have completely destroyed 40 medical facilities in Ukraine and damaged more than 500 hospitals. This was reported by the information service “Interfax-Ukraine” with reference to the Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko.

At a press conference held in Kiev on May 7, the official said that the Russian occupiers are violating humanitarian law and committing war crimes by destroying medical facilities.

“Since the beginning of the war, about 500 hospitals have been damaged, they cannot provide medical care, 40 hospitals have been destroyed, they can no longer be rebuilt,” Lyashko said.

At the same meeting, WHO representative Michael Ryan confirmed the words of Viktor Lyashko and said that the organization continues to record the destruction of medical facilities in Ukraine and send data on Russian crimes to the International Criminal Court.
