Severodonetsk in Luhansk Region was on the verge of a humanitarian disaster, the Russian invaders are stealing the property of local residents. This was announced by the head of the OVA, Serhii Gaidai.
According to him, every day the National Police receives fifty statements about destroyed housing in the Luhansk region.
The displaced people learn that they have nowhere to return, from neighbors who were deported by the invaders, or from people who previously left for the temporarily occupied territory and now visited their native towns and villages.
For example, in Severodonetsk, 80 percent of housing was destroyed or damaged.
“Some people try to return for things, but more and more often there are cases that after paying a significant amount to an illegal carrier, they find an empty apartment, even if it survived,” the head of the OVA noted.
Haidai also reported that after entering city, the invaders first deported part of the local population, took the keys from the houses, and then began to rob the citizens' property.
“They drive up to high-rise buildings on trucks. If the furniture is good, they take it away. It's not just about household appliances,” said the head of the OVA.
According to him, the occupiers have appointed another “commandant”, already the third, but the property of local residents continues to disappear.
