Satellite images show that the Russians have built new pontoon crossings in the Kherson region

Thanks to the new buildings, the occupying forces can transfer reinforcements across the Ingulets River.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine in August of this year < strong>disabled the main bridges that connected the western and eastern parts of the Kherson region. This move disrupted Russian logistics, which was necessary to prepare for counteroffensive actions in this direction. However, within a month, the occupiers managed to restore water crossings, at least in the area of the village of Darivka, as evidenced by Planet Labs satellite images published by the journalists of the “Scheme” project.

For comparison of the situation, two pictures from September 5 of the current year and October 11 are given. Two pontoon crossings are clearly visible in the images. One is located close to the Daryiv bridge, probably instead of the one that the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed at the beginning of autumn, and the second is about a hundred meters from the previous one. Thanks to the newly erected pontoon bridges, the Russians will be able to partially restore logistics across the Ingulets River. they are trying to create a new crossing at the place of the destroyed one, at the beginning of September, the bridge near the temporarily occupied Kakhovskaya HPP.
