Sooner or later, the EU will have to impose sanctions on Russian energy.
President of the European Council Charles Michel during a speech at the plenary session of the European Parliament said that the European Union will sooner or later have to impose restrictions on Russia's energy resources, ie oil and gas. He also wrote about it on social media.
According to him, the tightening of sanctions is due to maintaining maximum pressure on the Kremlin.
“Measures against Russian oil and gas will be needed sooner or later. “It is too late,” he said.
Michel also said the EU would continue its efforts and would not bypass Russia's Western sanctions./p>
According to the German ambassador, Russians may not be happy with the strengthening of the ruble, because sanctions will increase.
Recall that strengthening Russian currency contributes to a sharp decline in imports to and, consequently, a decrease in demand for foreign currency from importers.
