Sanctioned strike: 10 Russian planes stuck in Germany

Due to sanctions, these planes are subject to a take-off ban.

Ten planes belonging to Russian owners.They cannot be taken to the sky due to sanctions. This was reported by Redaktions Netzwerk Deutschland (RND) with reference to the Federal Ministry of Transport of Germany.

Among them is the An-124 located in Leipzig, in Cologne there are Bombardier BD-100-1A10 Challenger 300 and Boeing 737, in Frankfurt-Hahn – a Boeing 747, in Baden-Baden – a Cessna 750 Citation X, two Embra 600s and a Bombardier BD-700-1A10 Global Express XRS. And in Munich, there is an Airbus A320 airliner, which was once leased by a Russian airline – the decision about its further fate must be made by the owner.

“Since the machines are subject to a ban on take-off and flight due to the EU sanctions regime, they cannot be used by the owner and cannot be taken to another place,” explained the Ministry of Transport of the Federal Republic of Germany.

We remind you that back in March due to sanctions against Russia, European companies finally lost the opportunity to provide, insure and repair aircraft of Russian airlines due to EU sanctions. Meanwhile, Russia actually stole about 500 leased aircraft. These planes cannot fly to other countries, otherwise they will be seized and handed over to the lessor. Accordingly, they will be used only on the territory of Russia.

And recently it became known that there is an acute shortage of aircraft parts in Russia due to sanctions. And some aircraft began to be disassembled for spare parts.
