Deepfake technology and the “image” of Prime Minister Shmyhal were used for communication.
Russian special services tried to arrange a conversation “prime -Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal” with the co-founder and general director of the Baykar Defense company Khalyuk Bayraktar, reports the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
For communication, the Russians used deepfake technology, which is based on artificial intelligence and allows you to create a fake video where a famous person seems to say things that are not characteristic of him.
“Instead of the expected conversation with Mr. Khaliuk, the Russians were “lucky” to talk with an equally fake “secretary of the Baykar company.” Therefore, to answer the question: “And what happened today (October 8 – ed.) with the Crimean bridge?”, the intelligence officers say.
Ukrainian experts note the low level of training of Russian operatives, who have repeatedly exposed yourself during the conversation. In particular, they did not know the correct pronunciation of the stable expression “babine lito”, which was called “babye leto” in the Russian manner.
“The purpose of this action was an attempt to discredit the cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey. At the end of the conversation, the Russian operatives were informed that they had been exposed and they would be prosecuted,” the intelligence agents concluded.

Two days after that, the company showed how the Baykar center in Ukraine will look like. The plant will produce Bayraktar TB2, Akıncı and Kızılelma. Note that the Bayraktar Kızılelma unmanned jet fighter is equipped with engines from the Ukrainian company Motor Sich.
