The aviation industry fears that following the US Department of Commerce, which has banned all maintenance of Boeing aircraft of Russian airlines, the EU will impose similar restrictions on Airbus. The Superjets will continue to fly to other countries, but they can be confiscated from those airlines that decide not to return the aircraft to foreign owners after March 28.
According to the publication, Red Wings plans to return all eight Airbuses to protect their SSJs from the risk of arrest.
