Russia will be punished for the war in Ukraine, but the main responsibility lies with Putin, the head of the European Commission

International Commission of Inquiry documents war crimes of Russian invaders in Ukraine

The International Commission of Inquiry is collecting evidence of war crimes on the territory of Ukraine by Russian invaders.

This was announced by the head of the European Parliament Ursula von der Leyen in an interview with Bild. < "There is enough evidence of crimes committed by the Russian military. But not only those directly responsible must be brought to justice, but also those responsible for this war, which claimed the lives of thousands of civilians. Putin is responsible for this war, he ordered an invasion and pulls all the strings, "said Ursula von der Leyen.

She also added that one of the principles of the commission of inquiry remains the inevitability of punishment. What the occupiers are doing on Ukraine's sovereign territory in the 21st century is an unacceptable precedent.
