Heavy losses in Ukraine are forcing Russia to withdraw militants from Africa and Syria.
Militants of the Russian private military company Wagner (now the League) have arrived in eastern Ukraine, according to the British Ministry of Defense.
“It is expected that more than 1,000 mercenaries, including the top management of the organization, will be sent to conduct combat operations,” the statement said.
The Defense Ministry believes that the transfer of “Wagnerians” from Africa and Syria to Ukraine was a forced step, which pushed the Russian leadership to heavy losses and almost complete failure of the invasion.
