The signed law introduces an article on the public identification of the USSR with Nazi Germany in the Code of Administrative Offenses.

By “identification” is meant the mention of the similarity of the goals, decisions and actions of the Soviet leadership, the command and servicemen of the USSR with the goals, decisions and actions of the leadership of Nazi Germany.

In addition, this law will punish people who deny the decisive role of the” Soviet people “in the defeat of Nazi Germany and the humanitarian mission of the USSR in the liberation of Europe.

For individuals, this article provides for a fine of up to 2 thousand rubles or arrest for up to 15 days, for legal entities – a fine of up to 50 thousand rubles.

The State Duma passed the bill on April 6, the Federation Council – on April 13.
