The Russian Federation claims that the damaged ships of the Black Sea Fleet “ensured the safety of the grain corridor.”

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the suspension of Russia's participation in agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain. The reason for this decision is called a “terrorist attack” in Sevastopol against ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation and civilian vessels.

The Russian Federation continues to claim that the damaged ships “took part in ensuring the security of the grain corridor.” Russia also claims that Great Britain allegedly “helped the Ukrainians” to organize attacks on military equipment.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation said that the agreement was “suspended indefinitely” because “it is impossible to guarantee the safety of dry cargoes.” . According to TASS sources, Russia has not yet informed Turkey about the decision.

The office of the UN Secretary General reported that the organization maintains contacts with Russia on this issue and calls on “all parties to refrain from actions that could jeopardize the agreement”.

The agreement expires in November, the closer to its prolongation, all the more often from the Russian side there were threats to block the agreement. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and representatives of Western countries called on Russia to continue the agreement.
