Russia is not ashamed to steal grain in Ukraine to feed the Russians

They call it “the expropriation of last year's and current surpluses.”

Russia plans to replenish the fund of agricultural products at the expense of ” supplies of stolen food from Ukraine. This is evidenced by the decision of the Committee of Legislative Forests of the Krasnoyarsk Territory of the Russian Federation on rural affairs and agro-industrial policy.

Deputies at the meeting almost unanimously supported the decision to import grain from the occupied territory of Kherson region.

The statement of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory said that due to the introduction of foreign sanctions there is an acute shortage of vegetables and cereals in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and at the federal level. Therefore, they decided that “the expropriation of last year's and current surpluses of farmers in the Kherson region will be one of the tools to help small businesses, consumer cooperatives.”

The chairman of the committee Vladislav Zyryanov also stated that such experience “will be successfully implemented in the future by colleagues from other regions.” This approach, in his opinion, will be “economically sound” given that the Russian market has left suppliers of seeds and fertilizers. He also noted the significant costs of heat and electricity for growing their own fruits and vegetables.

It will be recalled that the Russian invasion of Ukraine has significantly undermined Ukrainian agricultural production, the consequences will be felt around the world. Grain harvest in Ukraine in 2022 will be 20% lower than in 2021 .
