“Positive and constructive” talks between Russia and Ukraine this week in Istanbul gave hope for peace, the Turkish president said during a telephone conversation with Putin on Friday, the Turkish news agency Anadolu reported.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also reiterated his offer to receive the Kremlin leader and Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky for peace talks between Moscow and Kiev. He stressed the importance of maintaining common sense in the position of the parties and continuing the dialogue.
