International sanctions caused by Russian military aggression have created an unfavorable situation for Russian oligarchs. In the 36 days of the war, the 22 richest Russians in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index have lost a total of more than $ 50 billion. Bloomberg has published an updated list of the rich.
The total loss of the 22 largest billionaires of the Russian Federation is 50.1 billion dollars, since the beginning of the year their fortune has decreased to 299.47 billion. The biggest damage during this time was suffered by Lukoil owner Vagit Alekperov, who lost 12.04 billion dollars. In total, the top 500 billionaires in the world included 21 Russian citizens, for comparison, 179 billionaires from the United States.
Currently, only six Russian oligarchs are in the top 100 of the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, with only one of them in the Top 50.

46th place – Vladimir Potanin, President of the Mining and Metallurgical Company “Norilsk Nickel”. His fortune is $ 29.4 billion, lost $ 1.47 billion since the beginning of the year;

96th place – Andrei Melnichenko, founder of the company for the production of mineral fertilizers and agricultural products “EuroChem” and the coal campaign “Suek” – 18.1 billion dollars. Almost the only oligarch whose fortune has increased by $ 600 million since the beginning of the year.
