It is not allowed to bring treats in the cemetery.
On May 3, Christians of the Eastern rite celebrate Radonitsa – remembrance of the deceased, which in Ukraine is also called Graves or Wires. The days of commemoration of the deceased are associated with rules that regulate what can be brought to the cemetery and what not. It is worth remembering that Ukraine is now living in a full-scale Russian invasion, so the authorities of some regions of our country are urging to refrain from visiting cemeteries on funeral days.

What not to do at the Tombs
You can't bring food to the cemetery. Despite the fact that there is a custom to come to the grave of the deceased with candy and cookies, and sometimes to arrange a feast, it is impossible to do so. It is not advisable to leave food on the grave, as this can attract stray animals.
When visiting cemeteries, it is better to refrain from loud conversations and fun. Nor can you express your grief violently. It is believed that this can disturb the soul of the deceased and can “take” the soul of a noisy living person to that world.
You can not turn around leaving the cemetery. It is believed that this way you can capture the soul of the deceased and bring it home.
You should not kiss the monument, looking at the photo of the deceased. You shouldn't be baptized either, this custom dates back to the time when crosses were erected instead of monuments, looking at which people were baptized.
