Putin's cook” Yevgeny Prigozhin, after the High Court in London rejected his claim against the investigative group Bellingcat, sent an emotional letter to Judge Matthew Nicklin letter. As Radio Svoboda reports with reference to the Bloomberg agency, Prigozhin's letter questions the independence of the courts of the United Kingdom.

< p>In May, the High Court in London refused to consider Prigozhin's defamation claim against the Bellingcat group, which linked him to the private military company Wagner. Before that, several law firms refused to cooperate with Prigozhin, considering him toxic.

Many Russian businessmen practically lost the opportunity to sue in London due to the refusal of the lawyers to cooperate with them. These include, in particular, the large British law firms Allen & Overy, Discreet Law, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Linklaters and Clifford Chance, which completely stopped working with the Russians in connection with the unmotivated armed invasion of the Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine, fears of possible sanctions from USA.

Fighters of the “Wagner” PMK are fighting in Ukraine, Syria and Africa and are involved, according to the Bellingcat group, in numerous war crimes. In the USA, the businessman is accused of trying to interfere in the presidential elections, he is included in the list of sanctions. Prigozhin is also under EU sanctions — the EU authorities accused the businessman of supporting the supply of weapons to Libya.
