Putin believes that the time has not yet come for a meeting with Zelensky – OP

He still hopes to get some “victories” on the battlefield.

Deputy Head of the President's Office Igor Zhovkva said that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has said in all his talks that it is not yet time to meet with President Vladimir Zelensky. A representative of Bankova told about it during the telethon.

According to Zhovkva, the Kremlin still believes that it will be able to win a “victory” on the battlefield. This will strengthen Putin's position in talks with Zelensky.

“We know very well that several leaders and states have appealed to President Putin to sit down at the negotiating table. But, unfortunately, he is not ready yet, moreover, he tells some leaders that the time has not yet come.” – says Zhovkva.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, that Kyiv's patience and willingness to negotiate an end to the war with Moscow is declining due to growing evidence pointing to atrocities committed by the Russian army in Ukraine .

Zelensky believes that the resumption of the diplomatic format of relations with Russia on the end of the war will be possible only after the return of enemy troops to the position before the full-scale invasion .
