Pskov paratroopers, Rosguard and Kadyrovites committed crimes in Bucha – Reuters

Journalists interviewed more than 90 witnesses and found documentary evidence

In Bucha in the Kyiv region , during its occupation by Russian troops, a unit of the Rosguard Rosguard, the 76th Guards Assault Division from Pskov, and Kadyrovka operated. It is these units that probably committed brutal crimes. This is stated in the Reuters investigation.

Investigative journalists interviewed more than 90 locals in Bucha, studied their photos, videos and documents that the Russians left in the city.

The fact that there were servicemen of the Russian security forces “Vityaz” in the occupied Bucha is evidenced by an identity document found there. “Vityaz” is under the command of the Rosguard. The head of this unit, Viktor Zolotov, is Putin's former bodyguard and reports directly to the Russian president.

The presence in the city of the 76th Airborne Assault Division from Pskov is evidenced by a “love letter” that a local resident found in his house after returning to Bucha. The handwritten letter was addressed to soldier Oleksandr Logvynenko, who was later identified by journalists as a paratrooper from Pskov. According to a local, the neighboring house was occupied by the same group of Russian soldiers.

Journalists also found that there were at least three units of Ramzan Kadyrov in Bucha.

Journalists also found another piece of evidence to refute Russian propagandists' claims that the Bucha Massacre was a provocation. They found satellite images that prove that the creation of a mass grave in Bucha on the territory of the Church of St. Andrew the First-Called and All Saints began on March 10. And judging by the photos, the bodies of the killed civilians of Bucha appeared when the city was occupied by Russian troops.
