The close relations between Poland and Ukraine irritate the aggressor country – the Russian Federation.
The Verkhovna Rada allowed Polish citizens to receive education and social benefits in Ukraine, engage in business, be tax payers, etc., on an equal basis with Ukrainian citizens. Draft Law No. 7550 on the establishment of legal and social guarantees for citizens of the Republic of Poland who are in the territory of Ukraine, which was introduced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, was adopted as a basis.
The law proposes to grant the right to citizens of Poland and their families to stay legally in the territory of Ukraine for 18 months without interruption. For comparison, this period is 90 days for citizens of other countries.
At the same time, citizens of Poland are now endowed with rights that are not available to citizens of any other country.
Yes, Polish citizens during their stay on the territory of Ukraine have the right to:
- employment without a permit for employment of foreigners and stateless persons;
- state registration as taxpayers and obtaining the registration number of the taxpayer's registration card in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine;
- social protection, which includes the right to support in case of total, partial or temporary disability, loss of a breadwinner, unemployment due to independent them under the circumstances in accordance with the legislation and international treaties of Ukraine;
- conducting economic activities on the same terms as citizens of Ukraine;
- obtaining an education at the same level as citizens of Ukraine, including at the expense of funds from the state or local budget;
- social payments in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine;
- receiving assistance from the Fund for Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities for under the same conditions as citizens of Ukraine;
- medical care under the same conditions as citizens of Ukraine.
Citizens of Poland, who will receive education in educational institutions of Ukraine, will enjoy the rights and fulfill the obligations provided for applicants for education who are citizens of Ukraine, in particular for obtaining scholarships, material assistance, state targeted support.
Those citizens of Poland who have the qualifications of a doctor, nurse, midwife (obstetrician) in the territory of the member states of the European Union, will be able to carry out professional activities in the territory of Ukraine for 18 months. Such professional medical activities can be carried out by citizens of the Republic of Poland exclusively in health care institutions of Ukraine. to discuss the creation of a future political union. It was an initiative of the British government.
At the same time, Ukraine and Poland are connected by particularly close relations. For example, as of today, Ukraine and Poland have started implementing a joint customs control project.
In June, the governments of Ukraine and Poland signed eight documents concerning cooperation of states in various spheres.
And Poland's political and economic support during the war is, without exaggeration, invaluable for Ukraine.
At the same time, close relations between Poland and Ukraine endlessly annoy the aggressor country – the Russian Federation.
