Песков уверяет, что РФ не будет применять ядерное оружие в случае проигрыша войны в Украине

Russia will resort to the use of nuclear weapons only in the event of a “threat to the existence” of the country, and not as a result of the current war with Ukraine, said Vladimir Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov in an interview with PBS on Monday.

“But any result of the operation in Ukraine, of course, is not a reason for the use of nuclear weapons,” Peskova was quoted as saying by Reuters.

He assured that in Russia “there is a concept of security”, according to which the use of nuclear weapons is possible when the existence of the state is threatened.

“Only when there is a threat to the existence of the state, in our country we can use and we will actually use nuclear weapons to eliminate the threat to the existence of our country,” Peskov said.

Earlier, the former Supreme Allied Commander Europe, Wesley Clark, said that the president of the aggressor country, Vladimir Putin may order the use of tactical nuclear weapons in Poland .

Hristo Grozev, an investigative journalist with Bellingcat, also said the possibility that Russian President Vladimir Putin could launch a nuclear strike on Ukraine if his plan to take Kiev is not implemented . At the same time, he reminded that in order to launch a nuclear-powered missile, five people must follow a certain sequence of actions.
