The Decathlon sporting goods chain, one of three present in Ukraine and declaring its intention to continue operating in Russia , is forced to leave Russia. This was reported by the French media with reference to the company's press release.

According to the company's statement, this decision was made due to the fact that as a result of sanctions, “the terms of supply for continuing operations in Russia are no longer met.”

The suspension was announced on Tuesday in an e-mail to employees, in which the company said it was “unable to support 92% (of) its supplies” to Russia due to “international sanctions.”

At the same time, the company apparently did not draw any fundamental conclusions about the aggressor country.

“We will continue to support our 2,500 Russian employees,” Decathlon said.
