Banknotes have already been discovered in Odesa, Kyiv and the west of Ukraine.
The occupiers gained access to bank vaults and threw old hryvnias that had been taken out of circulation onto the market. This was announced by the co-founder of the Monobank bank, Oleg Horohovskyi, who showed how the withdrawn banknotes look like.
These are UAH 500 banknotes. In the photo, you can see that they have characteristic perforations or marks that were apparently made in the bank.
According to Horokhovsky, the bills were removed from circulation and were kept in the Kherson warehouse of “Oschadbank”.
He said that such bills had already been discovered in Odesa, Kyiv and in the west of Ukraine.
Unknown people are trying to replenish iBox self-service terminals with them. Kherson,” Horokhovskyi said.
In this regard, he warned that any atypical top-ups of new iBox customers with large bills may be delayed until the terminal is cashed.
